Object Name Plate, Decorative
Description Blue-and-white china souvenir plate painted with the title "Views of Detroit, Mich," and scenes of four landmarks in the city. City Hall is depicted in the center of the plate. Around the brim, clockwise from the top are the portals of the Michigan Central Railway Tunnel (titled "Entrance to Detroit River Tunnel"), the Hotel Pontchartrain, Michigan Central Station, and the Dime Bank Building. Scrollwork borders and floral designs fill the spaces between each scene. The underside of the plate bears the mark "England."
