Object Name Moccasin
Description 1 - pair of moccasins; Chippewa tribe, Minnesota. Made of natural deerskin, beaded instep and flaps in light and dark blue, pink, red, green, yellow, black and brown beads in floral design. Buckskin thongs tie moccasins together; tongue of black wool.

Update: this is what the legend on display says (at Dossin):
"c1840. Beadwork of this quality and early date are rare."
