Description Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A large garbage can with Nazi and Japanese flags hanging out the sides as well as weaponry and barbed wired. Signage affixed to the Japanese flag on the right side of the display reads, "AMERICANS - Soon the mighty power of our armed forces with obliterate the Swastika and black out the Rising Sun. The WAR BONDS you buy, Americans, is our answer to atrocities and murder. Buy all you can afford for VICTORY." Also, oversized articles from the Detroit Free Press are featured discussing human death occurring in, in-humane ways. Signage affixed to the bottom central foreground reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds." The date and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "10-11-43; 18887-x."
