Description Photograph. Sepia-toned photo showing the construction of a railroad bridge over the Rouge River. Printed text in the lower right corner of the photo shows the number, "47," and "M.C.R.R. River Rouge Bascule Bridge; Superstructure; Concreting West Counterweight; Apr. 10, 1920; Photo W. B. James, Br. Inspt." The view shows five workmen who are mixing and pouring concrete into the wooden forms on the trusses in order to create one of the bridge counterweights. Piles of aggregate and sand can be seen in the foreground.
