Description Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Male and female mannequins stand with their backs to the window and appear to be reading the signage affixed to the rear of the display. The signage reads, "The Most Important Person on the Home Front is YOU; Defend American Ideals by Example." Also, signage flanks either side of the mannequins, which read (left to right), "Do Your Job Well * Conserve What You Have * Don't Waste Anything * Live America In Your Home; Take part in at least one Home Front Volunteer War Activity, Write to a Soldier, Buy all the War Bonds you can." Signage affixed to the front of the display reads, "Buy U.S. War Savings Bonds, Immediate Delivery, WAR BONDS, 11th Floor, Woodward, Section D." The date and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "9-2-43; 18870-7x."
