Description Monochromatic glass-plate negative from the studio of Louis James Pesha depicting the starboard side of the barge CHESTER B. JONES, under tow by an out-of-frame vessel and with a deck-load of lumber. A person stands at the bow, two stand aside him atop the pile of lumber, and two others are near the aft cabin. The hull of a passing freighter is visible in the background along with several small buildings on a tree-lined shore.
