Description Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display at Crowley's Department Store. Two female mannequins are dressed in white embroidered day-wear; opposite the mannequins is a fixed sign for "California Fashions." Below the sign is a sea-shell with a mannequins hand reaching out holding a copy of the magazine Today's Woman, also a neighboring banner reads, "As featured in Today's Woman." Signage, right of the mannequins reads, "As featured in, Today's Woman Magazine, A Smart California Fashion in a Cotton Twill, Playdress with a Balinese Design, Froth White to Star Against the Sun, Colony Shop Fashion Floor Third." Printed on the bottom edge of the photograph is the store name, slogan and location, "Crowley's, 'The Friendly Store,' Detroit, (26) Michigan."
