Scope & Content Half-folded invitation to a pair of events celebrating George Washington's birthday consisting of an oration given by Rev. Henry Neill at Firemen's Hall, followed by a ball at the Russell House as a benefit for the Ladies' Mount Vernon Association. Details on the events are printed in script on the front. A handwritten message, presumably addressed to Benjamin F. H. Witherell, president of the State Historical Society, is contained within:
